This special interest group (SIG) focuses on the Raspberry Pi (Raspi) single
board computer. Over 20 million of these computers have been sold. The group
meets to learn more about the Pi and exchange ideas. Although I will lead the
meetings, all are invited to share their own Raspi experiences.
For newcomers to the Raspi, we will discuss what is needed to make a Raspi
usable and how to install the latest Raspbian Linux operating system. We will
also demonstrate the Raspi's built in software features. We can discuss all
Raspis, from the Pi zero through the Pi 4B.
Previous topics discussed include:
- LibreOffice suite
- Linux shell programming
- Python programming language
- Using a Raspi zero with a temperature, humidity, barometric pressure sensor
- MariaDB (mysql) database using the Raspi
- using your Raspi as a web server (Apache) |
