2008 Cajun Clickers Board of Directors

Art Nichols Art is a 65yr old retiree of ExxonMobil. Art has been a club member since 1997 and was elected to the BOD in 1999. Art served in the capacity of Secretary, 2 years as Vice President, and a 2 year stint as President. Art previously was a member of the newsletter circulation team until the labels began to be printed on letter by the printer. I have also worked with Ed Tylenda on setting up for monthly meeting at Christian Life. I have also worked as construction coordinator for the club facilities. I was chairman of The Facilities Committee. I was recently elected to the Presidency of the Board of Directors for 2008.
Mark A. Lappin Mark Lappin is currently serving his 2nd year as Treasurer of Cajun Clickers. Mark previously held positions of technical director and general director. Mark joined Cajun Clickers in 1996 when he was in the 7th grade and is responsible for the first version of the website registration system which came online in the spring of 2000. Mark is a graduate from the University of the Pacific in Computer Science & Geology. Mark holds many certifications in the technology field including CompTia Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security (MCSE: Security). Mark is the Director of Information Technology at Lee Michaels Jewelers and is a professional member of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), the Information Systems Security Agency (ISSA) including the Baton Rouge Chapter and the Geological Society of America. When not at work, at the beach or hiking, Mark tries to keep current with new trends in Computer Science, relational database technologies and network/server security in addition to his Geology interests.
Louis Gauther Louis has been married to his wife, Linda, for 39 years and has twin sons and one daughter. Linda is a semi-retired Science Teacher. Louis holds a BS from Southeastern Louisiana University in Business Administration and retired from ExxonMobil in 1999 after working 26 years as a machinist. Louis joined Cajun Clickers in 1996 and has learned a lot about computers, especially computer hardware. Louis enjoys working the PC Tune-up and serving on the Board of Directors.
Cal Enseault He grew up in Donaldsonville , LA and is married with two sons and five grandsons. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry and was a pilot in the USAF. He retired from Dow Chemical after a career in R&D. He is currently a technical representative for Dexco Polymers. He has been a CCCC member since 2004 with major workshop instruction in word processors and spreadsheets. Other computer interests are Linux and photography. He has assisted both Education Chairperson and Membership chairman. Other occasional workshops conducted have been for MS Office SIG, spreadsheet SIG, digital scanner workshop, and reviews of photographic equipment and software.
Don Fratinni I have been retired for 12 years and am originally from CT and moved here 12 years ago. I am married to Charlotte and I have 4 daughters residing in NYC, VA and CA and Charlotte and I live in Lake Sherwood Acres where I am treasurer of the Homeowner’s Association for the last 11 years. I taught Jr. High Science for 8 years and then became an organizer and labor negotiator for the teacher’s union for 26 years before I retired. I am still an active member of the National Staff union of teacher unions and a member of their Pension and Benefits Committee. In my retired life, “work” (for pay) is a 4 letter word for me. I am a voluntary arbitrator for the BBB auto line, a board member of the Italian American Marching Group at the Spanish Town Parade, a member of the Baton Rouge Roundtable, a member of the Federation of Greater BR Civic Assoc. and try to play a round or two of golf every week. And lastly, thanks to over 11 years of membership in the Cajun Clickers and the knowledge sharing and workshops, I consider myself a very knowledgeable computer user.
